Currently Chrome OS has a somewhat annoying limitation: the operating system can only run Android 6.0 compatible applications Marshmallow.
However, Canary’s experimental versions of Chrome OS say it has been working to allow Chromebooks to also run Android 7.0 Nougat apps in the near future.
The information was published by ChromeUnboxed , based on feedback from a reader who claims to use your Chromebook Lenovo ThinkPad with versions of Chrome developer.
Google did not provide dates for the release of the stable version of Chrome OS with Android Nougat support.
Right now, some Chromebooks that utilization Chrome OS 55, the present stable version of the operating system, can run applications that support Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Notwithstanding, no doubt some Chromebooks that have downloaded the Chrome OS 57 work in the Canary channel can now support Android 7.1.1 Nougat for running applications too.
As such, just a modest bunch of current Chromebooks can run Android apps on the steady channel, including the Chromebook Pixel (2015),ASUS Chromebook Flip and the Acer Chromebook R11.
Samsung is going to introduce its new Chromebook Plus and Chromebook Pro convertible notebooks, the company announced during CES 2017. Both of computers have the capacity to download and run Android applications out of the crate from the Google Play Store,although that feature will be labeled as being in “beta” for the moment.
Samsung also declared the Chromebook Plus, will go marked down in February at a cost of $449.( It’s with ARM-based hexa-center OP1 chip). And at some point later this spring the company will dispatch the Chromebook Pro with its Intel Core m3 processor. .
