Twitter Lite uses Google’s Progressive Web Apps technology

Twitter has announced the launch of Twitter Lite, a web-based experience designed to minimize data usage, quickly load slow connections, and use less storage space on devices.

To check, simply log in to mobile.twitter.com directly from the device – the version will be available in the web browser.

“The novelty uses less than 1MB in storage, brings a more than 30% increase in startup speed, as well as browsing in general, and offers the main features of Twitter – timeline, Tweets, Direct Messages (DMs), trending Topics, profiles, media uploads, notifications and offline support, “the social network has published.

“In addition, Twitter Lite will bring four new features that will help improve the consumer experience: lower data consumption, device home screen icon, push notifications, and feature enhancements that open within the native application.”

Twitter Lite uses Google’s Progressive Web App (PWA) technology to deliver a native app-like experience and has additional features in Google Chrome for Android devices.

You can receive a wide range of notifications to be alerted about what’s happening on Twitter throughout the day and also access it offline so that the consumer experience on Twitter is not interrupted even if the internet connection temporarily drops .
