How to use FBML on your facebook fanpage?

This is a very simple and basic tutorial about FBML, which you can use in your facebook page and make your fanpage attractive with full of contents.

If you are wondering What the FBML is? It stands for facebook markup language and if you are familiar to HTML, its almost similar.Generally facebook doesn’t allow users to customize their profile or page using HTML. But it allows to use FBML.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE -HOW TO PUT FBML TO YOUR FAN PAGE?

1)Go to http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=4949752878

2)Click on “add to my page“.
3)select your desired page and click on add to page.

4)Go to your page now and go to edit page.

5)You will see static FBML,
6)Open it and type the FBML code according your requirements.
(its like html)
where you can add simple FBML codes to design the content.You can put Youtube videos, Playlists, Contact forms , Image galleries, music files, or whatever you imagine like you design your web sites.

8)Save it. You are done.

TO MAKE IT APPEAR ON YOUR PAGE
1)Go to your page.
2)On the top menu bar click on the + sign.
3)clik on the “YOUR FBML TITLE” . you are done.

(if you dont see it in the list, look it on the box tab and drag the FBML box to your wall tab)

NOTE: After you add it this first time, you may need to repeat this step each time you add new FBML content to get it to appear in your menu. And, in the future, you’ll locate the tab option under the double arrow (») opposed to the plus sign.

IF YOU WANT IT ON YOUR LEFT SIDE BAR, NOT ON THE TOP MENU.
1)Click on the Boxes tab in your top menu bar.
2)Click the little pencil icon.
3)And click “Move to Wall tab” –
4)To get it back to your top menu bar, click the little pencil icon of that side box, and click “Move to Wall.”

NOW YOU CAN DIRECT NEW VISITORS TO YOUR DESIRED FBML PAGE
1)Click edit page of your facebook page (below the profile image)
2)Go to Wall Settings…
And adjust the Default Landing Tab for Everyone Else.
